Teekaway Delight

T.E.E.K.away is a play of words with the initials of our names. We started this business in 2020 from our home kitchen in Melbourne, Australia. Our menu is created based on food that we grew up with and which reminds us of home, Malaysia. We started off small with only a handful of customers who were mostly our friends. Back then, we only offered nasi lemak, fried meehoon, and some other dishes that we and our children liked. Through word of mouth, we got more orders but we kept thinking of more things that we could offer our customers.

Our direction shifted from A la Carte menu to daily homecooked meals in 2021. We started cooking meals that reminded us of home and boiling soups that our kids enjoy. With this home catering service, we mostly deliver around the eastern and south eastern suburbs as we only have two drivers currently.

After receiving many encouraging feedbacks and more demands for home catering, it was time for us to expand so that we can deliver more homecooked meals to families around Melbourne. Hence, in 2022 we got a shop of our own at Balwyn North where we can use this space to welcome dine in customers and continue to reach out more families with the daily meals home catering as well.
